Philippines for Christ
Mark & Debra Naimy - Missionaries - Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ

The following are some of the current financial needs of the missionary work in the Philippines. I never cease to be amazed at the resourcefulness of our local pastors. They always squeeze so much out of so little!  You can rest assured that your donations will have a great impact on our ability to win souls for Jesus Christ in the Philippines, and that they will be greatly appreciated!

- Bibles:  Most of our pastors have never owned a good study bible. I have located a discount source for Thompson Chain bibles.  A $45 donation will put these wonderful tools in the hands of 2 Filipino pastors!  (They will be required to pay 1/2 of the discounted price.)  (Updated 1/28/2012).

- 30 Sponsors for Bible College Students:  In order to continue the Bible College in Manila for another year, we need 10 sponsers willing to support a bible college student at the rate of $45/month or $450 for the whole year.  This covers one student's lodging and books for a month. (Updated 1/28/2012).

- Motorcycles:  Most of our ministers in the Philippines do not own any form of transportation.  Small motorcycles are a huge help to the ministry, enabling our pastors to reach souls in remote areas.  $800 buys a decent quality 125cc bike here.  We have an immediate need for 2 motorcycles.  (Updated 1/28/2012).

- Roof: Termites have destroyed the beams of the church in Hinobaan.  $950 is urgently needed to replace the wood beams with steel ones.  (Updated 1/28/12).

- Manila: The Cubao, Quezon City, (Manila) church is busting at the seams! In order to accommodate the revival God is sending, we need more space!   A 200 square meter piece of land in Quezon City has become available. This is enough space to accomodate 200 in Sunday attendance and run a Christian school. The asking price is reasonable at P800K (about $19,000 USD).  We believe God will make a way, if it His will!  Help us pray. (Updated 1/28/12).

- Bacolod City: Another church that has been experencing rapid growth is in Bacolod City.  Their curent "store front" facility is typically packed to capacity on Sunday mornings.  Sometimes there simply isn't room for everyone to get inside. (1/28/12)

- Church Buildings and Building Lots:  Did you know that in many places in the Philippines a new church can be built for as little as $2,000?  Where else could your gifts be directed to have such an immediate and long lasting impact for the Kingdom of God!  There are several places right now where new buildings and lots are needed.  Please feel free to contact us for the specifics of current needs.  (1/28/12)

- Missionary Residence: We have taken a step of faith by moving forward with a project to build a permanent residence on the ALJCPI's Kabankalan compound (where our 2nd Bible College will be).  Out of our own funds we’ve already hired an architect, brought in 8 dump trucks of sand and gravel for fill material, and have begun producing building blocks on sight.  Because most of the work will be done with donated labor, we estimate that we will be able to complete the 1200 sq ft residence for as little as $20,000 USD (which we don’t have at this time).

Please join us in prayer for this need.  We know that it will be a blessing not only to us, but also to any ALJC missionaries who might follow after us, as it is being built on property owned by the organization.   (Posted on 1/28/12).
